4. Extemporaneous Speech (Grade 6 – Grade 8)
5. Vocal Solo (Grade 1 – Grade 8)

1. Final registration is on November 13, 2015. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Sign-up sheets are located at outside the library
2. The Board of Judges will identify winners per category per criteria.
3. Coaches and parents are not allowed to mingle with the contestants when the competition starts.

Specific Guidelines and Mechanics

Nursery Rhyme Recitation (for Nursery, Kinder1, Kinder2)

1. Each nursery rhyme recitation must not last longer than 3 minutes including the entrance and exit.
2. Each contestant will be allowed to use a microphone.
3. Costumes and props of each participant are highly encouraged and must be provided by the participant.
4. The winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:

B. On-the-spot Coloring Contest (for Nursery and K1)

1. Each contestant will be given the same piece to color and will be given 1 hour to color it.

C. Story Telling Mechanics (for Grades 1-3)

1. Maximum of 5 minutes for each story is given. This includes entrance and exit.
2. Costumes and props are not required. Participants may choose to be in casual clothes or uniform.
3. Each contestant will be allowed to use a microphone.
4. The winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:

1. The song chosen should be appropriate to the child’s age and should be relevant to the theme: “Environment Protection is our Obligation.”
2. Performance should not exceed 3 minutes including entrance and exit. Deductions will be made for over time.
3. Costumes are allowed but not required.
4. Music should be saved in a USB (properly labeled with the participant’s name) and submitted a day before. USB should contain only the music the participant will use, no other files.

  • Cotton buds/cotton balls/Tissue paper
  • 1 pencil, eraser
